[Hidden-tech] Regaining storage space in Gmail

Do you send a lot of email with large attachments, or generally just receive email with attachments? People tend to forget to search their sent folder as they most often just search their inbox.

Look through your email with the paperclip icon next to the message date (assuming you are using gmail's web interface and not gmail as a pop/imap account) and check those for large attachments. Save attachments if you want to your computer and delete the email to regain space.

Another possible solution would be to set up an email client with gmail as a pop account, and set it to delete files from server once you have opened them. You will keep a local copy, but they will no longer be on Gmail's servers.

As for an easy way to search for large files, I know of no other way than just searching through each page, looking at emails with attachments.
