There are a number of good data recovery programs.  The best free one
I have used is probably PC Inspector File Recovery from Convar
(http://download.cnet.com/PC-Inspector-File-Recovery/3000-2248_4-10118663.html)

Made by a german company, it is a simple software, but should find
what you are looking for if the drive has not had anything else done
to it.  (here is their website as well:
http://www.pcinspector.de/Default.htm?language=1).

If you run into problems feel free to give me a call, I do data
recovery quite frequently.
