[Hidden-tech] iPhone purchase?

AT&T's service is just ok. You do get 3G in Northampton, although it seems
slower than other places I've been (e.g., Brattleboro). Take a look at one
of the new Android phones, maybe the DroidX on Verizon. I don't have Verizon
service so I can't really compare although I'm told it is better than
AT&T's. (I was up in Norwich, VT today and my friend had 3G service on her
Verizon phone while I had poorish EVDO connection.

(I held an iPhone4 the other day in the Apple store and it is definitely a
beautiful thing.)

Good luck! There are no great solutions at this point - it's all tradeoffs.
