You should check out the list section of Direct Magazine's website.

1. They have interviews with several list brokers. Those brokers would be a good place to start to find legitimate direct marketing lists.

2. Also, on this page is a sign-up form for their daily email newsletter - Direct Listline. That daily email features a variety of direct marketing lists - everything from lists targeting CEOs to lists targeting subscribers of Parenting, childcare magazines.
