I'm looking to spend a little time with a SQL Server expert, someone with extensive experience at indexing tables via SQL commands (not the UI) and general upkeep and efficiency. I have a couple of websites with a couple of very long, very wide database tables that are beginning to be quite sluggish. I'm hoping someone can sit with me, and in an hour or less help me develop some SQL code to incorporate into my databases, as well as some guidelines and behaviors I should adhere to going forward. I'm pretty good with databases and SQL in general, but never spent much time learning about indexes and best practices in that regard. Now that I have a couple of databases with 22,000+ records in certain tables with "text" fields, I think it's time to do that.
