The key phrase here is "Dell all-in-one." I faced this problem a few months back when setting up a network for a friend. Generally you can use the same printer for Macs and PCs - I currently have a Minolta laser printer and Brother all-in-one that work very well on my mixed Mac/Windows network. The problem is that Dell doesn't have Mac drivers for their printers. If your unit has a network interface and can communicate using Postscript, IP or Windows Printing Service you should be okay using it on the network with your Mac.. If it's a USB printer, than you'll have to connect it to your Windows machine and install (free) software on the machine to share it as a Postscript printer that your Mac can talk to. It's doable, but it will take some work.
