I've had an iPhone for over a year. I live in Belchertown, but haven't had a single dropped call, missed voice mail, or any of the other problems that people have talked about. I occasionally have problems getting coverage when inside some large stores, such as inside the WalMart in Ware. When travelling overseas, I switch the iPhone to "airplane mode" and just use it at WiFi locations. I gotta say I love it. I love all the apps, I read all my books on it, I play games, I use it to check my company databases, email, documents when on the road. I use the Google Maps for navigation. I play Sudoku at night to fall asleep. I use Pandora to listen to music. Not to mention the built-in iPod. But the apps are the best. My kid needed a metronome for her violin lesson. A few seconds later, we had a free one as good as the expensive one she accidentally left behind in Shanghai. We have a tuner for my son's guitar. The web browser is excellent -- I can log into my online banking site and check balances and transfer funds. My kids are waiting anxiously for me to upgrade my phone to the next model -- so they can get my current one. -- Maria Maria Korolov Technology columnist, Securities Industry News Editor & publisher, Hypergrid Business (hypergridbusiness.com) President, Trombly Ltd. 508-443-1130 | maria at tromblyltd.com On Thu, Oct 8, 2009 at 1:01 PM, <mattl at florenceit.net> wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > Hi > Never a problem with voicemails that I've noticed: neither with myself on > blackberry or my wife on iphone.
