All computers have been reserved, but there are a few spots open for people who bring their own laptops - must be PC, not Mac. TNR Global, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center (MSBDC), will be presenting a one day training on how to create a dynamic website for your small business using the Joomla! content management system. This training will take place on December 2nd, at the Scibelli Enterprise Center, Springfield, MA. Create a new website in one day - including photo galleries, slide shows, contact form, support forum, and social networking features. Within one day, you will learn the fundamentals of the Joomla! open source content management system, site planning, menus, design templates, content editing, and marketing and search engine optimization tips. No technical skills required beyond comfort with Microsoft Word, and an internet browser. During and after the workshop you will be able to add images and text to your new site on your own. You will be able to complete more during the training if you bring a CD/DVD or flash drive with text and images that you want to include on the site. Note: This workshop will not include e-commerce or shopping cart features. You can, however, add e-commerce features to the site once it is set up - either by yourself or working with a technical consultant. Registration is open at http://www.msbdc.org/wmass/training_reg.html. MSBDC does not accept online payments, but there is a registration form to print.
