I'm the one that through this possibility out there to David, and my experience is much the same. I'm not a gamer, and the only thing I needed it for was a reliable way to route an Ethernet connection from the top floor (where the modem and router are) to the basement (where I've been relegated!). It works fine for me and I've yet to experience any problems. Recently I had to move all the equipment from one room to another and once I unplugged and re-situated the powerline Ethernet adapter, it was up and running with no fuss and no interruption. It may not be the best choice for critical applications (I wouldn't use it in a server/switch environment) and it may not win any speed contests, but - hey - it gets the job done. You can't ask anything more of it.
