I've found http://www.creditcards.com/ a fairly useful resource to compare cards and learn about current deals. Of course, it often comes down to negotiation. For anybody saving for education (for children or themselves), UPromise.com has a great setup, probably the best of any deals Otherwise, I like my REI Visa card that gives me 1% cash on all purchases. You get it as an REI credit note, but they will mail you a check if you ask for it. I don't trust the value of miles anymore.
