Jessica, there's a big difference between on-demand printing vs.
on-demand publishing. In general, I'd be careful of anyone who asks
you to pay for publishing with their ISBN. There are times and
companies where this makes sense, but more times when it doesn't.
I'm not directly familiar with VDM, but some questions you might ask:
* What are all costs?
* What revenues will come to you?
* How will they market?
* How many do they typically sell?
* What rights do they take, and what do they leave to you?
* What will they be doing for you that you can't easily do yourself
or with the help of an expert, possibly better and cheaper?
I consult on this sort of thing, and am taking the liberty of sending
