I've been approached by a German company, VDM Publishing House  (www.vdm-publishing.com 
) to submit a manuscript for possible publication.  VDM specializes in  
making unpublished social science research reports and dissertations  
available to specialists in manuscripts that are listed and available  
for direct purchase through Amazon.  Texts are reviewed by in-house  
staff but not outside experts and tend to be minimally edited/revised.

Does anyone have experience with on demand publishing/publishing  
companies or have a sense of the pros and cons of this type of non- 
peer reviewed publishing?
