I don't know of any feature to do it, but a macro would be pretty straightforward: count 140 characters, back up to the first space, then copy and paste to a separate paragraph in a new document. You'd probably want to go thru the text and use short-forms whenever possible. You'd then have to edit the resulting 140 character chunks to make sense. If you are comfortable with Excel, it would be easier. I would put each paragraph of the text into Excel and use the left and mid functions to break them up. That's how I did the example below. =left(A1,140), =mid(A1,140,140), =mid(A1,280,140) and so on. You could use a couple of tricks to make the formulas easier to type. However, I question the wisdom of the approach. Tweeting a paragraph or two, sure, but think of the first paragraph. Chopped into 140 letter chunks, it would be: 1) I don't know of any feature to do it, but a macro would be pretty straightforward: count 140 characters, back up to the first space, then co 2) opy and paste to a separate paragraph in a new document. Essentially, you are tweeting a sentence at a time. Why not pick a couple of key paragraphs and tweet those in chunks? I wouldn't want to read even 8 pages 140 characters at a time. I work with a book publisher on certain book marketing/PR projects. We're considering taking a chapter of a new book and chopping it up and tweeting the entire chapter - piece by piece. However, I don't really want to manually have to go through a 8-10 page document and cut it up 140 characters at a time. Do you know of any software that I could cut and paste the text and have it automatically divide it up into 140 character chunks? Is there some hidden feature within Microsoft Word that would do something like that?
