I wholeheartedly agree with what Duane had to say: iPods (or iAnything) are not the only game in town. Zen and Sandisk (Sansa MP3 player) are both expandable by use of a removable memory card. The Zune, I feel, is largely overlooked, but offers some interesting features. That said, I think you'll be happier with the iPod (or iAnything...) because you are on a Mac platform already and this will offer you a more seamless "user experience." Now it's simply a question of the features you want or feel you *may *want in the future. The iPod Nano <http://www.apple.com/ipodnano/> offers video recording and a built-in FM tuner, with a capacity of up to 16GB. The iPod Touch <http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/> gives you up to 64GB of storage (that comes at a price, however: $400) and offers a whole bunch of installable software and games (kind of like an iPhone without the phone). Here's a full comparison of Apple's media players<http://www.apple.com/ipod/compare-ipod-models/> . For your purposes, I'd say the Nano is probably the best bet, but check out the whole line before making a decision. Frank Aronson -- The Computer Mensch "When not just ANY geek will do!"
