I have an iPhone & I imagine that the software is the same as the ipod touch's. I haven't actually used it in the field, but the sound is quite good for a voice memo & itunes syncs your voice memos. The software is described as 'Voice Memos', so it may not be the best choice, depending on your application. I have an Olympus VN-6200PC, which cost about $45 at amazon & serves me very well for interviewing and recording in a seminar. I use a clip on mic (about $18). The better DVRs start at about $100 Daniel On Sat, Dec 5, 2009 at 11:37 AM, Fred Levine <fred at smallbatchbooks.com>wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > > I need a good quality digital voice recorder, and I’d like to rationalize > buying an ipod touch.
