[Hidden-tech] Issues with installing Skype on Windows Vista Home Basic

David,
this is the message I am getting during installation. I don't think it is a permission/administrator issue..

First Window:
Skype has stopped working
Windows is checking for a solution to problem......

Second Window:
Skype has stopped working
A Problem caused the program to stop working correctly. 
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

And the following error message which I saved the first time, yet has not come up since. I think because I sent the error to windows...

Files that help describe the problem:
  C:\My Computer\AppData\Local\Temp\WERECF6.tmp.hdmp

What is the error message you are getting when you try to install the software?  Is it a permissions issue?  Do you have/need administrators rights?

I have not been able to install Skype on Windows Vista Home Basic, and have had this issues for a couple of weeks now..

I looked into the forums with no avail. Just to find a lot people with the same issues, yet no real solution. I have been in touch with Windows Vista Support who told me to get in touch with Skype. I tried to get in touch with Skype, yet for some reason you need to be a member with skype before getting support, which does not make much sense if you can not even install there software.. :O/

Anyone out there have an answer to this mystery?
