For what it's worth, you must have some placed bitmaps in your illustrator file because if it was just vector graphics it wouldn't really need compressing, or rather, the file wouldn't have much data to compress -- since unlike raster graphics (bitmap) the amount of information required by the program to render the image is the bare minimum so the file sizes stay much smaller. Still, I suppose the WinRAR process ought to execute, even if the file size may not change much. Hope this helped... Hell all: I am having some trouble compressing a PDF file using WinRAR.. For some reason I can not compress the file, I have gone over a few tutorials and I know that I am taking the right steps.
