I switched my business phone line from Verizon POTS to T-Mobile at Home, MyFaves (unlimited free calling to 5 numbers) and a Blackberry Curve. Without Blackberry Internet Service ($20/month), it would have cost less than Verizon's most basic business plan, with far more capability built in, and even with BIS, it only costs me about $15/month more than I was paying Verizon for the line alone, for unlimited VOIP phone service with voice mail, etc. FAX might be a problem if you need it, but I don't. The biggest downside for some businesses might be losing their Yellow Pages listing, but for me, that's a blessing. T-Mobile has almost no cell coverage around the Berkshires, but I find WiFi reception on the BB Curve to be excellent. And of course, it gives me the ability to take my office phone with me when I travel.
