Andrew, I would strongly suggest that you take a close look at your Microsoft User Data folder and see if the bulk of that 96GB is in the ³Save Attachments² folder, which I¹m guessing it is. I¹ve been using Entourage for many years and before that Claris Emailer which I imported into Entourage when I switched. My main ³Database² file is just over 900MB and in my experience I¹ve only seen one or two other people that had one that large UNLESS they never emptied they had thousands of old messages in their Deleted Items, Junk folders or Inbox (I limit my InBox to 25-50 messages having disciplined myself to perform daily triage on it.) The other discipline I recommend to people is to ALWAYS delete or remove attachments that you don¹t need, including those little 8k logo files that people sometimes include in all their emails. If you do need something that¹s an attachment, create a folder in the Finder for the client/project/topic, drag the attachment to it (it will make a copy in the folder) and then ³Remove² it from the email. Most attachments are of short term use and keeping them attached to the email just means they sitting in your Saved Attachments folder taking up space for years to come.
