I'm not totally sure about the crossgrading, we just called earlier this
week and the rep we talked to said that crossgrading wasn't possible.  Maybe
we got a bad rep.

Thanks Jeff for the new info regarding "crossgrading."  I had made the call
to Adobe earlier than 2007 and crossgrading was positively NOT an option at

Mac, without doubt. No question.

My new 15" MacBook Pro is *by far* the best laptop and best made computer
I've even owned. Fast, powerful, amazing: I can't recommend it enough. But
you should take a trip to the Holyoke Apple Store and see what works for
you; I know a lot of graphic designers using the new iMacs, for instance.

By the way, what Silvana says above is not true. Adobe has offered a
"crossgrade" for their products for years. John Nack from Adobe sets the
record straight here:
