[Hidden-tech] Online, shareable calendars

I've been fairly happy with Yahoo's calendar as a personal/family event
manager.

There are a lot of open source and commercial calendars out there if you
want to do something beyond what the search portals offer. Some of them
focus on presentation, others more on the scheduling and reservation
backend. I haven't looked closely at any of the backend focused open
source PHP packages, but that might be what you want if you need to
manage more than a few employees shifts. The one backend PHP package I
have looked at seemed to have fairly high learning curve, meaning
probably a fair amount of consulting time to configure it.
