I imagine it must actually be eSATA if it is an external drive..

something like http://www.addonics.com/products/io/aau2esa.asp will 
work, but if you can return the drive and get a plain old USB drive 
you'll be better off.. there really isn't any advantage to eSATA for 
a dvd drive..
