Commonly XT boxes did not have IDE drives. Either NO hard drives at all, 'hard cards' (3.5" MFM or RLL drive mounted on a long XT bus card (later models might have had early ISA slots, in which case the 'hard card' was almost an IDE drive), or they had a MFM or RLL controller and a MFM or RLL drive. > > B.
