If you're just in it for the Google phone, you may want to consider getting
a contract-free developer version that you could use on whatever network you
choose:

(Not that you asked but: At this point, Android as a mobile platform has a
lot of promise but it's still pretty rough -- I'd take a hard look at an
iPhone as a mobile option as well.)
