[Hidden-tech] controlling look of emails...

This depends a lot on your web host / email provider and what tools or
framework you used to develop your website.

Most shared hosts put a limit on the number of outbound emails you can
send per hour in order to avoid having their server blacklisted.
Depending on your particular hosting environment, you may find that it
is difficult for you to have lists of more than 50 or so recipients
reliably receive broadcast emails, and you your side, you need to make
sure you comply with CANN-SPAM opt in and un-subscribe rules.

You should probably ask your site designer if they can advise what
newsletters can be integrated with your website design and host. If you
have a Joomla! site, there are several extensions that let you design
newsletters, manage lists, and send them out; you'll need to know your
hosts limits. If your site is CPanel hosted, there are usually a couple
newsletter options.

Services like Constant Contact are attractive if you don't want to stay
on top of the details and you want to minimize the chances of mistakes
with your mailing list or your email hosting.
