[Hidden-tech] Clarifying Ad Club request

Hi Amy/All,

I don't think anyone is discouraging donating time or work for a good cause, but perhaps in the spirit of stimulating commerce in tough times, Ad Club would have offered something of tangible value in return for services and expertise rendered. Why are we being told "don't get involved"? I think everything that has come across the wire today has been perhaps prickly at times but certainly is raises some very real concerns about the economy and what HT'ers and businesses in general are doing to weather this storm.

I wish that some acknowledgement of the issues and a creative parlay into a stimulating discussion would take the place of the tongue-lashing in this message.

I'll offer it up for discussion, then, what are YOU doing to keep things going during our (now officially recognized) recession?

Regards,

Fred
