I also wholly recommend Blackberrys. I have Cingular but envy the new
T-Mobile offering with Wifi mentioned by Paul. I've heard it works
surprisingly seemlessly.

You just have to look at the stock prices of Palm and Blackberry and you'll
get a sense of where the market is going for non-Windows / non-Apple
smartphones.
