Wendy, i would highly recommend apple's iwork 08. $79 gets you: "numbers" (excel) "pages" (word) "keyonte" (powerpoint) pages and numbers aren't as advanced as the office versions but they do everything i need (and more) and keynote completely blows away powerpoint...plus they're actually fun programs...go figure. my 2 cents.
