Instructor, Planning for Educational Change
Marlboro College Graduate Center
 
Delivery Mode: Combination / hybrid
Type of position: Adjunct in the Master of Arts in Teaching with Technology
program
Location: f2f presence every other Saturday from May to August, with the
remaining work conducted online and offsite
 
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Develop and facilitate a three-credit Planning for
Educational Change course to adult learners who have matriculated into the
Teaching with Technology degree program. Students in the MAT program
typically include individuals with corporate, non-profit, college, and K-12
teaching and training environments who desire to learn or improve their
teaching using web-based technology, or those with computer experience but
without the knowledge of pedagogy.
This instructor will work collaboratively with other faculty who teach
within the Master of Arts in Teaching with Internet Technologies (MAT)
program, as well as faculty in other programs as necessary.
 
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in a related field and minimum
three 
years teaching experience in a related field (a bachelor's degree with
five years of relevant work experience may substitute for the master's
degree); Advanced skills/knowledge in teaching online as well as in a
hybrid model. Must be versed in developing and facilitating courses from
within a variety of content management systems ranging from First Class,
Blackboard and/or WebCT, as well as within a blog and/or wiki. Must
possess working knowledge of learning theory and instructional design and
have a commitment to staying current in the field. Qualified candidates must
also demonstrate a commitment to serving adult students in a
learner-centered 
collaborative program.
 
POSITION SALARY: These are adjunct positions. Salary is commensurate with
experience.
