Building Web Parts for Sharepoint with Visual Studio 2005 - Mauro
Cardarelli

Web Parts are cool! If you've never seen them in action you're in for a
treat. Developers can build Web Parts as ASP.NET custom controls.
Administrators can install Web Parts on any site based on Windows
SharePoint Services. Users can add Web Parts to pages by dragging and
dropping in a browser, and they can personalize them by setting
properties. Web Parts can connect to other Web Parts using a standard
interface. This session will walk you through the process of designing,
building and deploying SharePoint Web Parts using Visual Studio 2005. VS
2005 has some exciting new features that make Web Part development
easier and more powerful. The session will include a hands-on
demonstration that will provide several real examples of SharePoint Web
Parts and will offer a framework for jump starting your VS 2005 Web Part
development expertise.

Mauro Cardarelli is a Managing Partner at Jornata, a Boston-based
Information Technology consulting services company. His responsibilities
include technology evangelism, architecture and software development. He
holds MCDBA and MCSD.NET certifications.
