I have an Olympus digital voice recorder WS-320, the USB connection shows it as an external drive when I connect it to my PC running Windows XP. I have successfully downloaded many recordings off of it. I always copy the file into a folder on my hard drive, then edit on Roxio, etc. This last time, I opened the file directly from the recorder to Roxio sound editor and then realized what I'd done, so I closed the file and when it asked if I wanted to save the file or cancel, I said cancel. When I looked to copy the file to my hard drive it was gone. There is a file on the recorder that says recovery.dat. Does anyone know if and/or how I can recover the recording? Appreciate any advice.
