DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING MANAGER - GRADE 20 EMILY DICKINSON MUSEUM (12 Month Position, 35 Hours per Week) Reporting to the Executive Director of the Museum, the Manager will be responsible for developing the external relations of the museum, executing its marketing and public relations plan and supporting its growing fundraising program for the purpose of raising awareness, increasing audience and cultivating broader financial support locally and nationally of the Museum. Position will work with the Executive Director to organize and support volunteer fund-raising efforts, plan and coordinate prospect and appreciation events, identify potential donors, develop strategies to meet annual goals, and conduct annual solicitation campaigns. Primary marketing responsibilities will be to manage the Museum's press relations, create and implement an effective marketing and promotion program, and coordinate the design, production and distribution of all promotional and advertising materials. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing the final stages of a major upgrade of the Museum's web site and for maintaining the site when launched. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts degree, or equivalent; 2-3 years relevant experience in non-profit development and/or marketing; and familiarity with a range of information technologies and softwares. Candidate should possess excellent organization, communication and writing skills, and the ability to carry through multiple projects and meet deadlines in a small museum environment.
