Not going to happen -- Intuit is only going to produce their software for MS-Windows and will continue to charge you an yearly (more or less) fee to use their software (Intuit has no choise -- it is the only way they can fund their business). QuickBooks will *only* be interoperable under MS-Windows and nowhere else, ever. I believe GnuCash will do everything you need to do and I believe QuickBooks can be told to export to QIF, which GnuCash can import (and export). With the release of 2.0.x of GnuCash, it becomes possible to port to MS-Windows, meaning *GnuCash* WILL relize your dream of universal interoperability (GnuCash already runs under Linux and MacOSX). > > > Mark Bucciarelli wrote: > > ** Be a Good Dobee and help the group, you must be counted to post . > > ** Fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > > > > > > On Fri, Nov 10, 2006 at 12:30:57PM -0500, Christian Lagier wrote: > > > > > >> Can any of you help me with a QuickBooks challenge, or, do you > >> know somebody else that might fit the bill? > >> > >> I'm looking for somebody that can help me set up QuickBooks Pro > >> for accrual accounting and project costing.
