Hi all, Part of Hidden-Tech's mission is to connect you to regional institutions. In that vein, I attended a beautiful session today at Mercy Hospital in Springfield (part of Sisters of Providence Health System) that literally brought me to tears. Of all the health care facilities in the region, Sister of Providence is probably the most dedicated to aiding indigents, abused children and the downtrodden. The hospital is holding a number of sessions in the near future to enlighten people to their facilities -- which are many -- and their mission. And, of course, institutions of this size often hire subcontractors. So you may find ways to both volunteer your services and develop a relationship that will win you work down the line. I also talked to several administrators about holding the fall health insurance program at Mercy Hospital. With the change in Mass law this is a most urgent topic and the hospital has several experts on staff well versed in the new legislation who could help us. If you're interested in attending an introductory session on the hospital the upcoming dates are 6/22/06 at 8 - 9 a.m. or 7/17/06 from noon to 1 p.m. There is no charge and refreshments are served. Make sure to bring plenty of tissues because some of the stories they have to related, particularly about children, will really pull on your heartstrings.
