Those of you who work with or at non-profit organizations or NGOs, may
already be aware of the resources available through TechSoup.org and Gifts
In Kind International. They provide many resources to groups, including free
or heavily discounted software and other items.

Below is the text of a recent letter from TechSoup announcing two new
programs: a new software initiative from Adobe and a computer
re-cycling/re-use initiative.

Dear TechSoup Stock Customer,

This month we think you will be happy to see new donated
offerings from Adobe and an exciting new refurbished computer
offering at TechSoup Stock.

=========================================================
Introducing the Adobe Software Donation Program
=========================================================
I am very pleased to announce the new Adobe Software Donation
Program at TechSoup Stock (http://ga0.org/ct/g7SQNpE1IRPs/).
Please read on to learn more about this program's product
donations and eligibility requirements.

The Adobe Software Donation Program offers a wide range of
donated software products to the nonprofit community. The
available titles listed below include product additions gained
through Adobe's recent acquisition of Macromedia and new product
bundles.

Through TechSoup Stock, qualified organizations may order either
four separate Adobe products or a single suite product. Adobe
product donations are available to eligible nonprofit
organizations in the United States and Canada that provide
direct services in either of Adobe's philanthropic focus areas:
Creativity in Education or Commitment to Community. For more
details on Adobe's philanthropic focus areas and to determine if
your organization meets Adobe's donation criteria, view the
Adobe program guidelines and restrictions at:
http://ga0.org/ct/bpSQNpE1IRPc/

Adobe's expansive product offering includes both individual and
suite software products:

INDIVIDUAL PRODUCTS: Acrobat 7.0 Professional, Acrobat 7.0
Standard, After Effects 7.0 Professional, Authorware 7,
Contribute 3, Director MX 2004, Dreamweaver 8, Fireworks 8,

RCI - The Recycled Computer Initiative
=========================================================
After many months of research and program development, TechSoup
Stock has launched the Recycled Computer Initiative
(http://ga0.org/ct/b1SQNpE1IRP3/), a 3-month pilot program
that provides highly reliable refurbished computers at the
lowest possible cost to U.S. nonprofit organizations.

TechSoup Stock's RCI pilot program offers high-quality
refurbished computers formerly in use at large corporations.
These are machines that corporations typically phase out after
two to three years of use, but which still have useful life and
can be refurbished to be in very good condition. Each machine
has been refurbished to excellent standards, is loaded with a
new Microsoft Windows operating system, and comes with a 90-day
swap warranty.

For donating corporations, RCI is an effective and
environmentally friendly alternative to disposing of used
equipment before its time. We are happy to report that Google is
the first donor company to participate in the RCI program.
Additionally, I would like to recognize the outstanding work of
Redemtech and Computers for Schools, the first computer
refurbishers to partner with TechSoup on RCI.

Because RCI is a ground-breaking new pilot program, we intend to
start small and improve our processes during this 3-month pilot
period. Please email your feedback to RCI at techsoup.org and share
with us your thoughts on RCI (for example, what meets your needs
or what could be better). Your feedback will help us make this a
better program for the overall nonprofit sector.

Sincerely,
