fred, 1) that's often the first question...but no... i haven't heard of any plans of apple making a version of garageband for PC. The only products they've made "cross-platform" are itunes and the ipod... go figure. 2) there are so so many options regarding equipment/ computer setups. I would check out the forums at ilounge.com for more than you'd ever care to know about podcasting and recording, etc... Unfortunately, I haven't had too much time available to get into doing things that don't generate immediate revenue, ie. um, having "fun". It's tough avoiding the temptation of branching off into new directions... I'm a musician and have been recording for over 20 years now...I wish sleep wasn't a necessity!
