[Hidden-tech] more on podcasts

I'm interested in podcasting and Garage Band in general, a couple questions

1) Is it available for PC (yet)?
2) What would you recommend for an good quality podcast in terms of
equipment - hardware for the pc, HIDs i.e. a good microphone/headset, etc.

  apple's ilife 06 had a new version of "garage band" that is supposed to be
fantastic for creating and distributing podcasts and is
"wicked-user-friendly"...
