[Hidden-tech] What's wrong with Massachusetts?

I was on Geeks.com today and found the most bizarre thing:

Products shipped directly from manufacturers are available
for shipment to the 50 US states with the exception of
Massachusetts, but not to international, APO/FPO, or US
territory or possession addresses. These products are also
not eligible for payment by COD, and must be signed for
upon delivery. <<

Why in the world will they not ship to Massachusetts?  I am
unable to think up a reasonable explanation for this.

Anyone have an idea?
