[Hidden-tech] Making audio recordings

Hi David,

I'd recommend a large diaphragm microphone for a nice full sound
(depending on how accurately you want your voice reproduced ;)
$100-$200), a small mixer (under $100), and possibly some noise
suppression (maybe). As you probably know, you can use free audio
software. You could get all this, and advise on specifics at Downtown
Sounds in Northampton. You can get great results from equipment in this
modest price range. If these purchases are not an option at the moment I
know there's a couple of people on the list here that have studio and
recording experience. I can't really offer assistance as my home studio
is also my office and I don't get enough recording time myself! :-)
Good luck.
