What you are looking for is called an "adapter" (not a "converter" which is for voltage). It just translates U.S. plugs into foreign plugs. Britain uses one kind of plug config, continental Europe uses another. For about $10-$15, you can get an adapter kit (Harlow's in 'hamp has them) or a nifty all-in-one universal adapter gizmo (I got one at Staples). Bon Voyage.
