I'd suggest the following: 1. set your laptop email client to leave mail you've read on the server. You can get your mail on the road; then you'll get it again when you come home. 2. set your home email client to delete mail you've read from the server 3. get a synchronization program (I used ViceVersa Pro $60 www.tgrmn.com ) and mirror home-> laptop. - Jeremy ----- Original Message ----- From: Jeff Rutherford To: hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net Sent: Monday, December 11, 2006 12:28 PM Subject: [Hidden-tech] Synchronizing computers ** The author of this post was a Good Dobee. ** You too can help the group ** Fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. ** If you did, we all thank you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Can anyone offer their suggestions. I'm working with Windows computers, so keep that in mind for any responses. I need a very solid, fail safe system so that my Outlook email is mirrored exactly on my laptop which I used for the road and business trips, and a desktop in my home office. Does anyone have a solution that they use that they're happy with? I'd like to be able to use my desktop when I'm at home, and laptop on the road, and have those computers basically mirror images in terms of all of my emails - I can check old emails from my laptop, etc. Jeff Jeff Rutherford Jeff Rutherford Media Relations, LLC 50 Delabarre Avenue Conway, MA 01341 jeff at jeffrutherford.com AIM: JeffreyRutherfrd tel: fax: mobile: Skype ID: 413 369 4128 909 752 4363 413 475 0087 JeffRutherford Add me to your address book...
