[Hidden-tech] Images Lost ???

It's possible that the images (files) are still on your camera's card. If
the image files were visible in a Windows operating system, the camera card
is probably formatted and used in a way much like the computer's hard
drives - in particular, "deleting" them may not erase them completely and
you may be able to "undelete" them using standard file recovery software
that you would use to rescue files from your hard drive.

I have also bought and successfully used some image recovery software for
the SmartMedia cards used by my Olympus - it may also be able to work with
other types of camera cards. The cards have been "unreadable" by both
camera and Windows Explorer, but this software (PhotoRescue -
http://www.datarescue.com/photorescue/ ) was able to retrieve all of the
files. There are several programs out there like this one - I got this one
because it had a free trial feature that successfully recovered some prized
images and I had no hesitation paying the reasonable price after that!

Important (hopefully obvious): don't use your card in any way before trying
to recover the files - don't reformat it, erase it, etc.... just leave it
alone until you try to recover them.

Good luck.
