[Hidden-tech] Basic data entry and analysis recommendations?

I, too have a problem with Open Office. I put it on a Win98 machine, and 
it went in & changed the links to which program opens a file. It also 
made the WordPerfect suite unusable.

PS Firefox is another wizzbang program. I found a cookies file, even 
tho I had shut off the gathering of cookies before I used it.
