Berkshire Publishing president Karen Christiansen says she is "in rather urgent need" of someone fabulous to fill a new customer service position. This company is for real, they have won several awards for their reference works, and are a success story. They have several other openings; her description of the customer service position follows. Tell her I sent you.

The job includes fairly standard (but absolutely top notch) telephone and online customer service and order fulfillment. There's an additional role that makes it an exciting opportunity for just the right person, and also very difficult to fill: we're working with a growing number of European, Asian, and Australian suppliers and sales agents, and the Customer Service Coordinator also needs to be proactive and engaged in building these relationships and getting our products out to the rest of the world.

I think it would be a perfect fit for a globally-minded graduate with an interest in sales and marketing but also an academic background, as the people in library and book distribution are people who appreciate books and knowledge and that's an important aspect of our relationship building efforts. It's an entry level job with tremendous potential, so it could be a great position for an experienced professional, too, who wants a chance to build a new initiative with entrepreneurial zeal (and benefit accordingly).

Details are at our website: http://www.berkshirepublishing.com/bpg/employment.asp

I hope all's well with you and that we will have a chance to catch up before long.

Cheers, Karen.
