TOMORROW - WEDNESDAY - JULY 6 KNOWLEDGE BASES The Western Mass .NET Users Group will host an introductory meeting of the Knowledge Bases Special Interest Group at its next meeting on July 6 at 6:00 PM in Northampton. Please join us for a presentation and discussion of: Metadata in Knowledge Bases: The Bridge Between Databases and Documents. Jean Graef of the Montague Institute will talk about Metadata -- what it is, why it's needed, how to create and use it. She'll do a brief demo of her company's Web-based lab, which is used to teach corporate librarians, IT staff, and other information professionals in large organizations how to create metadata for use in search engines, compliance reporting, Web site navigation schemes, thesauri, and A - Z indexes.
