Hi all,
Just an FYI to save Monday, Feb. 7 for an opportunity to meet a number of
non-profit organizations and learn more about the skills they're seeking.
This "matchmaking session" is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. in the basement
room in Jones Library. More information will be posted to the announcement
list as soon as next Tuesday's (Jan. 25) networking event is concluded.
Non-profits do hire subcontractors and they also seek volunteer assistance.
Those who volunteer are the most likely to be hired when work evolves.
Attending to provide awareness and contacts will be:
David Foster, Director of Hampshire Programs for the Center for Human
Development
David is responsible for the oversight and support of six human service
programs in Hampshire
County, serving some of our region's most vulnerable adults, families and
children
who face a broad array of serious and persistent challenges in their daily
lives.
Christine Texiera
A steering committee member for the Western Mass Arts Alliance, Christine
will be able to talk to the needs of regional arts organizations. She is
also Technology Systems Manager for the UMass Fine Arts Center.
