[Hidden-tech] Problems with Comcast connection

Hello Rick,

Sorry I haven't commented on this sooner, we have had Verizon DSL for
about 2 years and it's been reasonably reliable -- once we told them
how to set up our end - but then we have a linux router doing the
connection for our in-house network.

Comcast is faster and overall has been less hassle for those in our
group who have it - we got DSL because we are close walk to downtown
Greenfield and so we have both DSL and comcast between a few of us.

Also, Crocker offers DSL now -- it seems slightly cheaper, unless you
can use one of verion's package deals, BUT Crocker has real people who
can be reached (a few even on the HT lists) and will respond very
quickly and correctly vs Verizon still being basically a telco.
