Claudia, No conversion is necessary. The Mac version of MS Word can open the file you have on your PC. The challenge that many Mac users might have in helping you is that it has been quite a few years since Macs have come with floppy disk drives. So you will want to find someone who has a Mac with both the current version of MS Word and a floppy disk drive. I have this type of setup and can help you if you are willing to drive to Northampton. Alternatively, if the publisher were willing to accept a file via email, you could just send the file on your computer as an attachment. Assuming the publisher has a relatively new Mac with a current version of MS Word, they could open this PC file.
