ASCII is just plain text.

In MS Word, just do file -> save as and pick plain text as the format.

There are differences between MS, Mac, GNU/Linux in plain text (mainly in 
how they choose to encode the end of a line), but I would guess a Mac can 
read a MS plain text file.
