I tried using Claude to scan thunderbird for email and ran into some permissions issue.
Their api help said it was addressed even though it wasn’t - haven’t gotten back to it.
Will tap you if I still can address it come May when I get back to it.

My first instinct would be to point you toward Anthropic Claude. We built a prototype last year that was quite effective at extracting meaningful data from financial news stories and converting it to structured, tabular data. We were using flat CSV files rather than SQL, but that wouldn't be important for your purposes. Only took about three weeks to go from concept to a build that produced meaningful output. Anthropic's API is well-documented and easy to understand... they have a number of ready-made tools and productivity enhancements, but these might not even be necessary for a skilled developer. Do look carefully at cost and projected usage before diving in. Anthropic throttles, and their pricing may change without notice.
